Aidan Dockery from the Heritage Council paid a visit to our 6th classes on Tuesday. It was a history day to remember with Aidan showing the pupils many artefacts from the past. Thank you Aidan for your time.
Our Junior Soccer league 2024 got off to a great start, some very close games played in a great competitive spirit! We're already looking forward to the next round of games, well done everyone!
The children have been learning all about the fire station in Aistear this month, and we were so lucky to have a visit from some of the firemen in Kilbarack Fire Station today.
Congratulations to Uliana who represented our school in the county finals of the Eason Spelling Bee and to Jennifer who represented our school at the North Dublin Spelling Bee on April 16th.
Both girls were amazing on the day and we are very proud of their enthusiasm, dedication and hard work. A big thank you to Dylan who also attended the North Dublin Spelling Bee as a substitute and supported Jennifer so well on the day. Third class had great fun learning about procedural writing and putting their procedures to the test by decorating cupcakes.
Some of our classes had an EGGciting easter day!
Our girls lost out to an excellent St. Helen's side Tuesday in their second round game. Despite two well taken goals from Freya and Elsa they couldn't catch the Portmarnock side.
They are now out of the cup but gave two excellent displays and gave the entire senior building a very exciting game in the first round. Well Done Girls! Hard luck to the Boys soccer team who narrowly lost out to Sacred Heart N.S. Clondalkin in the 1st round of the Pegasus Cup. The boys were really unlucky to lose out to two late goals, having led for most of the match.
Well done boys, you represented yourselves and the school so well in tough conditions!
Well done to all of the students who participated in our annual Spelling Bee competition in both buildings on Tuesday.
Keep up the great work with your spellings. We had a really fun Book Week |
